Note

meant to train again today but afternoon shopping was tiring. okay week this week, would like a bit more volume but that's to come i hope if all goes well. trying not to do too much too early in the winter!

Rodhenloppet with Ross. weeeeell it was actually really good most places. sad that one big miss came on "my watch" on first control, mess with route choice at the start but the real problem was i couldn't get over it for the leg, enough to mean we went into a vague bit without enough care. alternating control for the legs. good feeling mostly, kind of fun! but hard to analyse own race when running in a pair. so i'll just say it was fun for now :-)

Nåsten, easy collecting more Naturpasset. Mostly done now. road intervals are a good way to have a day previewing how you'll run in 50 years' time. still v frosty - winter is coming!

collected in some Naturapasset controls, Nåsten. tracks and terrain. legs feeling a bit heavy, no more gym Wednesdays from now

Running - hard intervals 25:00 [4]

Linné intervals. Session was 10x30/30 then 10x60/60. i ran 10min threshold on treadmill beforehand to make a longer session, also felt good to "warm up" inside now that the cold has started hitting. went quite well, hamstrings a bit tired after yesterday's gym stuff nearer the end but running-form felt quite good. 60s mostly around 3:05/km, 30s a bit varied and a couple as slow as 3:20 (cos they're short? not sure watch is ever that accurate anyway but in any case it's always nice when the numbers look good on paper ;-) )

TISDAGSBANA! Headlamp hair and swallowing pine needles time of the year. easy pace today, boys just jogging apart from one faster bit in the middle. i had to work a bit harder than them but no trouble staying with it. have been really doubting fitness recently so good to know i am at least here.
