Orienteering - hard race 52:00 [4] shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 190 June 2013
WOC Long qual. ran a cool race and took the time i needed to read the more difficult bits. not without wobbles and some bad direction sometimes but i did manage to put things right before i made any big mistakes. felt like i wasnt pushing or rushing. not the best feeling following bad night up feeling sick but legs clearly going as well as they needed :-) not sure if i half-got a virus or if it was just tension and feeling i might get sick but managed to keep all my food inside at least.
Easy running, took some short controls, easy running, strides x5, easy running. no matter how it goes in the races i dont think i could get much more ready :-)

Long training. I was SHIT. couldnt find anything on the "nice" and "easy" terrain. running intervals at over race speed. not feeling full of confidence.

easy along the cycle paths. Vuokatti really is one of my fave places so i hope i can just chill out a bit more find some more calm with my orienteering brain! legs still coming :-) easy day tomorrow. also some recovery lake swimming :-)

Vuokatti! at last! round some of the controls near the ski centre. forgot how quick it was here. not orienteering as well as id like, maybe need to get back into the feel of it a bit.
