Running - easy 1:11:00 [1]
slept:5.0 shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider Nov 11

easy day today again. nice relaxed trip out, ended up running along Portobello beach. Strong headwind on the way home meant no negative splitting today!

Running - easy hills 50:00 [2]
slept:9.5 shoes: Walsh PB racer (Sept 11)

Couldnt decide on hills or flat intervals today, so doing a bit of both. Round in Holyrood Park. Stopped for a bit at the top of the Seat, enjoying being the only one there for the first time ever! Not a nice morning for everyone though - the police were picking up someone's body from the bottom of the Crags :-(

Running - hard intervals 25:00 [4]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider Nov 11

Grass intervals on the Meadows. 2x5min, 2x4min, 2x2.5min, 2x1min. Quite a short session, i'm still a bit tired. big nights out will be on a strict quota until summer! Mostly threshold today, hard to push myself any harder without a group.

Running - easy 1:16:00 [2]

First over to collect headtorch from Tess (plus detour taking wrong road at Tollcross), then home to drop it off and out for the first bit of Spongey's birthday run. Up over the Seat and Calton Hill, then left the boys at the pub and back home via Castle before i got tempted by the whole thing. Good fun :-)

Orienteering - hard 58:00 [4]
ahr:183 max:191 slept:8.0 shoes: Walsh PB racer (Sept 11)

trip out to run a Browncourse at Bishopwood. Running getting better and better, good on the paths, but made mistakes near the end when stopped concentrating, too busy being in a mood with the ditches (too wide to jump across, kept getting stuck in them) and the brambles (ouch!) and trying not to have 'ballet feet' and keep them more 90deg to legs. Fun, but i cant keep orientering like this. Have work cut out in Spain next week! :-D

Routegadget: not pretty! some of the bananas are from running in the nicer bits, but lots more from mistakes...

Lower back has been a bit sore for a few days. i think it was running those hard intervals on the concrete that started it. have been stretching it and trying to sit properly but might have to try something else too.

Across town to pick up Caitlin, running friend from school. Chatty run out along the beach to Sandsend and backto Whitby along the road. Then home over viaduct. Windy!

Feeling fine this morning but HR quite high for the speed we were running.
