back to normal. Meadows, Links and Holyrood park. Going dead carefully on the ice. No probs with calf :-)

Running - hard intervals 33:00 [4]

Meadows session, on my own and concentrating on running at a good threshold pace, just above the intensity i'd run in an orienteering race. have started to run on the grass a lot more to protect shins and because i noticed i'd started feeling uncomfortable running on uneven terrain!

2x2km, 4x1km. times not breaking any records but still think it was a useful training and calf was fine again.

strength and pilates. calf fine to run to gym and back and do everything when there. stretched it out well and lots of calf raises. session and possibly day peaked with Rick Astley warm-up soundtrack :-)

feel like a new woman today, getting energy back already. rest of day off for xmas shopping though.

Still recovering from uni. Also, calf was a bit tight warming up yesterday and then a bit tight this morning too. I think it's from running in the colder weather, maybe not warming up enough. No big worry but also no hills today for me, just easy (6min/km) on treadmill in the warmth to see how it went. Was fine.

Alternative training 50:00 [2]

messing about after treadmill. some spinning bike but got bored so some x-trainer too. Calf fine here too. So boring though, good motivation not to get injured! no reps, just taking it easy for next day or two.

stress stress stress. feeling crap this morning, made it to gym but just did easy physio exercises instead of agility and plyo. own fault for leaving everything til last minute. urgh. one more day...

Physio. More progressions for shoulder exercises, have got lots stronger :-) these are to work on until mid-January, then should be okay to start with easy weights :-)

FVO night to celebrate finishing uni for this year! head just not wanting to concentrate no matter how many times i told myself to 'just take it easy and have a good plan'. but will let self off, always strange to have so much stres and suddenly none at all. time to get back into some kind of order with body/training over next few days!

allowed out for a short trip round the meadows (on grass again today) before another library day.

Meadows intervals. Joined in the Haries' session for a change. 6x800m/45s. Weather disgusting, like last Thursday but rainier. So an easy session on paper was tough against the headwind. Am mega stressed still, final essay deadline on Thurs, maybe that's why i was struggling so much? Hope so. Found it hard to keep up even when on the grass and so got to cut corners a bit :-/ Good to get through, decided not to do any extra given how i wasnt feeling so good.

no s and c this morning, exam at 9 so just went to CSE quickly for rollers, that nice purple ball for rolling feet, and sauna after some early last min cramming. so good to get that stress out the way! :-)

no MASH today, was another hilly weekend. Enough variations of 'round Meadows and Links' to keep me occupied for an hour. Legs feeling fine.
