Took an early morning trip with some of the Linne guys to the indoor track at Bosön. When we got there though the track was booked from 9 til 10 so we had to do the first bit of the warm-up outside in the snow. Luckily found a space indoors to do drills.

Intervals were 2 pyramids 200m, 300m, 400m, 300m, 200m, but my running technique seemed to be going downhill after the second 400 so stopped there and did a few more drills instead, still trying to be real careful with my shins. Ankle fine :-)

Really tired this morning, felt absolutely pants! But it was fun to be on a track (!), absolutely ages since i ran on one last, hopefully will get to do more this winter :-)

Felt great somehow, despite being out last night!

The scales don't lie though and it looks like i need to be a bit more strict with myself, i've never been this heavy :-O

Just chilled out after exam early this morning. From home round Gamla Uppsala and then found some new tracks and hills on the way back.

Ankle better but still not perfect on hills or rougher ground.

The snow was beautiful but not great for running, it was either really deep or thin over the top of a layer of ice. Time to buy some skis maybe?

Absolutely freezing today, north wind with snow. Brrr.

Not feeling quite so full of energy today, so short and easy, but that's okay - the point is to get me used to doing more running gradually, not to train really hard. Ankle not as good as yesterday, will give it a day off tomorrow.

Powdery snow and still falling thickly, just about okay in trainers though :-)

Easy from home, failed to get on my bike in time to make Linne training (it was just steady track running anyway). Icy and snowy, but shins fine and ankle better than Sunday, able to forget about it most of the time :-) Running quite strongly tonight too, had to make myself slow down sometimes.

Time to start winter training now, shame it's still in the pool, but at least it was warm.
Worried about my ankle though, it's really sore this morning on the inside (outside fine now), right on the bone as well. Maybe time to see a physio?

chatted to mum about my ankle, she said she's had what i have and it should be fine if i strap it to run and run gently and do plenty of ankle exercises. So i'll give it a few more days before booking the physio :-)
