lazier than usual Sunday for tired legs! followed by 4hr fika :-)
shin still fine, could have done this as real running but sticking to every other day for a couple more weeks, this problem has been going on way too long!

Could write for ages about everything that went wrong today and bore AP to death, but can be summed up by saying that my legs were empty and my head was empty. A real struggle as soon as i tried to push myself hard! Also, i think i'm not holding my map quite flat or something cos the needle on my compass wasn't settling well, made a few banana shapes as well as the squiggles on my route.

But, even though i wasnt running too well for any of it, i did run about half of the tricky legs cleanly. So there were some things to be happy about, and it was a nice trip out :-)

Think i needed more than one rest day to recover from my training earlier in the week (!) which means i'm run-down and need some easy days now, hopefully will be feeling better by next weekend!

first part of the course along a track, so used it as warm-up jog - its hard to do a transition from cycling to terrain running, especially when its cold!

Re-ran the training course but with some extra bits, managed to keep in control this time. The kites from the other night were still out, which helped :-)

back to my bike from the end of the orienteering, pushing a bit but not too hard cos i still had to cycle back.
missed intervals to do this training, which was sensible for my shin, but i miss intervals. not really doing much hard training at the minute, which is fine, but will do more shorter, intense things in a few weeks once there are no more races left, even if it means doing more cross-training and even less running!

this turned into quite a long day, and was busy most of the rest of the day and out all evening too, so definitely easy day time tomorrow!

had planned to cycle straight to Lunsen but the weather was so awful i thought it would better to have somewhere warm to stop and wait instead of in the cold at the forest

More Smålandskavlen training. A day spent inside working (!) meant that i was itching to train, but unfortunately my legs left my brain trailing waaay behind today. i think i was a bit distracted by worrying that it would get dark, i would run off into the middle of the forest and never get out again or my map would disintegrate in the rain. So, some clean and some very messy, will get back on Thursday to re-run it hopefully. Always nice to be out in Lunsen though :-)
