Note
(rest day)

Not impressed with myself, i am hurting all over after spending most of last night stumbling about in a very drunken state at a party i dont remember. Its great to have fun, but not when it means youre wrecked the next day!
So given that and what happened at training yesterday, i think i need a day to recover, detox and then a new start tomorrow.

10 AM

Alternative training 1:02:00 [1]

to the forest and back

Orienteering - easy 55:00 [2]
shoes: Old walshes

Norra Lunsen, some bits on a contour-only map.
Wasn't all there today, think i must be a bit down on blood sugar or something, hard to run strongly and concentrate, got bout 3/4 of the way round before my brain completely went to mush and i bailed to a path to jog back.
So not orienteering brilliantly, although there were some good bits once i got the hang of the vague terrain, but i think i'll come back and run the course again later.
Luckily there was an ICA on the way home for an emergency food stop. Don't know whether i should be training less or eating more, hope it's the second option :-)

Note

Going over my map from yesterday, i lost almost three minutes!!! everything except 10s of this was in the control circles where there was a lot of detail and similar features, with the control tucked behind one of them. i could save so much time if i can find the confidence to slow down and not rush going into the controls, and make sure i know exactly what i'm expecting to find.

10 AM

S&C 22:00 [1]

Aquarunning - easy (recovery) 23:00 [1]

Easy Friday training for tired legs. Also, finally got stuff sorted with Student Loans people, which should make life much less stressful, and took advantage of the nice bakery between Fyrishov and home :-)

Note

no training this morning, have Linne test race for 25-manna this eve and want to be feeling at least half-fresh for it, hope to orienteer better than at last week's training!
4 PM

Alternative training warm up/down 1:00:00 [1]

to and from training, which was right over the other side of town!

Running - easy warm up/down 5:00 [2]
shoes: Old walshes

little jog and drills to warm up, yep this was a bit of a pathetically short running warm-up but i was itching to get in the forest this afternoon!

Orienteering - easy 39:00 [3]
shoes: Old walshes

25-manna training and test, really enjoyed it tonight! my running felt good, maybe a bit too good for my brain, i kept getting in the circle and then the wrong side of the feature and things like that, was frustrating cos we only had map descriptions and training sized kites. but i still think i'm improving, will have a better look at my map later to see where i need to practice most...

Note
(sick)

Coughing up some nasty yellow stuff this morning! don't feel too bad otherwise, so don't think its a proper chest infection or anything, but not something i want to take risks with, so made some scones instead.
