wimped out of slushy running. Was going to be a long run but feel like I'm coming down with a cold or something so forced myself to take it easy to hopefully make sure I can get a good week's training in next week

in the gym, left achilles a bit stiff this morning so figured this would be the safest option... probs could have done more but had to go home and eat before going to watch x-country. still, 75mins combined isn't a bad session for me at the moment, should be ready to get back to longer runs next week XD

Round the meadows, Bruntsfield Links, then to the Innocent Railway and along there for a bit. Best way of keping warm :-)

Trip back to uni went okay, did a huge grocery shop and unpacked. No training unless dragging all my stuff from the station to my flat counts. Pleased I managed to gain a bit of weight, hopefully it's not all just Christmas stodge ;-)

XC skiing - easy 1:00:00 [1]

Started in a blizzard, the fresh snow made really good conditions, I could get a fair bit of speed at last :-D
Held back from a longer session as I'm on an easier week, even though I was really enjoying it (apart from going past a bakery in the blizzard, which was like torture ;-) )
last skiing of the winter as I'm back to uni tomorrow and Dad won't give up the skis

legs, hips and back all feeling a bit tired out from all the skiing and snow running so i guess a good thing i have another rest day planned for tomorrow when i'm travelling to continue my easy week :-) looking forwards to having more to do but not to a possible day out in Darlington railway station if the trains aren't working properly :-S

In wettish snow, really tough. Treated it like fartlek, some bits hard but not timed intervals. Didn't intend it to be such a tough session, legs feeling it afterwards, but really enjoyed it and don't think I overpushed myself.

Much needed rest day! Feeling quite tired but kept fairly busy at home as mum is ill :-(
also built a snow rabbit (called Trudi). it was a bit rubbish.
