training in Nåsten with OLHÖ. more than i intended, we were an odd number on a pairs exercise so i had to do the whole thing, not just jog about checking how they were. they have at least learnt one very important thing: always finish training with chocomilk.

Improving relations with my compass in Nåsten. Mix of control pick, contour only and corridor. better in corridor than contour only. energy levels good all the way too th end, although brain got tired - quite intense stuff! ran on my own today, felt like i needed to.

SM training in some of Uppland's roughest terrain at Östfora. Frozen feet and no feeling of moving quickly even though i was working hard. really really bad on the first interval, not reading any detail on the map, but calmed down after that and though still a few mistakes an improvement on the others. some sneaky kite hiding.

circuits with OLHÖ. inspired by Ruth's circuit cards i made a roll the dice version with three categories in turn (legs/core/upper body and whole body) and max twice for each exercise. more fun than me deciding the order beforehand. then some stretching and showed them how to loosen up feet a la Tess. feeling really crap to begin with from the early start but better after circuit.

Treadmill definitely the best place for intervals today. except im even too stupid to run here when you can only set it for speed and not mins/km, which i screwed up and so i was only running more like threshold pace when it ws meant to be quicker. wondered why i didnt get tired. no harm done i suppose but feel like i wasted a training and will get slow, even if thats not really true :-(

another recovery day so this was the main session, good thing too. bit of an epic with OLHÖ in Lunsen, slow going in the snow and grim in marshes. still feeling the lack of forest O but getting a bit better towards the end... not being such a wise coach this time round, i think they had much better control than i did :-P

MOC sprint in a park. fast and furious fun. felt not v sharp, a bit too much "run in the right general direction and you'll find it" technique, one big rout choice mistake and lots of seconds here and there. i think i wouldnt have been able to run this time a year ago though, so all is not lost.

training with olgy and olhö in Lunsen, one of those fun relay things where youre in pairs and run between the start and finish of the legs you dont run. (they call it tjeckisk stafett, despite disappointing lack of beer). i joined in and found it difficult to change between chasing and leading, some mistakes. hope to get round to gps later. generally better towards the end. felt like it took some time to wake up!

Short hills training with Linné. I think i found a weakness in my running, my lactic acid tolerence seemed really not so great. no disaster, just not so much juice in the legs! nice to dig in and you cant be flying every night...

... but i was wondering on the way home how i can change my training (do more strength work and explosive and hills, no shit Sherlock) and then i got really dizzy. pre breakfast o intervals shouldnt be taken so lightly. but that's what happens when ive got so much work. luckily its almost done now and i can go back to being lazy, paying more attention to the body and having afternoon naps :-)

Shadowed Sandra on Lunsen training. will have to make this eavening easier than last week, it took a lot out of me to do two trainings in one afternoon then and OLHÖ training isnt always the slow speed i need it to be if i want a really tough tisdagsbana afterwards!
