Park Final.
Islington TAFE. 27 controls.

Lost time as controls 3 and 11 back to front.
Even once "corrected" they were both still on the wrong trees. Ultimately made no difference to my placing. Didn't do a 2nd run.

Run 5 km NSW - Official Walka Water Works 24:50 [5] 5.0 km (4:58 / km)

Fourth one of these. First since ankle injury.
A lot more people now turn up so more crowded. Took 1 km to spread out.
iPhone recorded 5.18 km in 25:02 but start/stop time a few seconds out.
Splits :
1 km 4:39
2 km 4:41
3 km 4:51
4 km 4:39
5 km 5:04
so almost under 5 min for every km which is a big positive.

Happy to be under 25 minutes.
Took a few minutes to settle stomach at finish!

Couldn't physically get into this class today.
Instructor had decided to go all out for Friday 13th.
Pants she wore were amazing, especially during leg squats and other exercises, and I basically spent a lot of the class staring! Would have been even more spectacular if had a matching top.

Attended Club AGM at 7:30 pm and then slept at twin brothers to make drive "home" only 1/3 the distance.

28 Controls. Nominal 3.1 km.

Ran here at least twice before with
30:02 for 30 controls and 4.1 km 20/02/2013
27:05 for 28 controls and 3.8 km 09/03/2011

So given ankle ongoing pain 30:25 is within an "acceptable range" for me.

Will wait for splits but biggest time waster was #7 where I stopped at exactly the right location for the minor dirt track off the steps. Didn't see the control at all - then went another 10 metres further up and said this doesn't make sense so came back and saw the control ??
