Green course at Caldwell Preserve. Courses by Greg Fasig.

A nice little Green course with plenty of climb (and well designed legs to minimize most of it). Some brutal muddy sliding climbs, but nothing I'd consider damaging to the terrain. I definitely need to do hill repeats or something.

New Year's Eve Night Orienteering: Cleared the course in four minutes less than 2 hours. The time limit was 90 minutes, with steep penalties, but I asked for it to be changed to 2 hours. The winner took like 1:41:00, so it was the right thing to do. The full-day of rain had ended, but it was very sloppy and slippery. Unlike the 41 degree (5C) weather on Tuesday, though, I was able to wear a t-shirt in 51 degree (11C) heat. Incredibly fun, although the traverses through thick honeysuckle are very difficult at night. You can't see ahead far enough to avoid fallen trees, for example.
