Green course at Armco Park, set by Steve Vaughan. A very nice use of Armco Park. The green area of the map is probably very unpleasant in the summer, but it wasn't so bad in February. I've had a lingering head cold, and I hope that explains my slow performance. My HR seems about right (I think the 6 min of zone zero is just chest strap dropout). I just couldn't go fast. I drank half a cup of coffee before starting, rather than my normal enormous Diet Coke. It was a cold day, and maybe I needed fluids.

Several notable errors. One of the controls (8 maybe) was right next to a stream crossing, and I crossed without checking my map, and then looked at a later control going my direction. I realized it about 20 or 30 seconds later. Other people did the leg in about 2 minutes, and I was 5 (I think---too busy to look at the splits).

Brian (k4bri) really seems to be getting faster. I'm gonna have to step up.
