Note

I was just looking at the ICO July 9th sprint, and I think my comments that it was too easy were off-base. There were a couple white-like legs, but overall, it was very nice. It certainly forced you to pay attention. The two most white-like legs were both downhill on trails, and I like the idea of fast movers having to make fast decisions. Unfortunately, I'm pretty slow...

Great day in the woods. ICO's Sprint at Bear Creek Scout Camp. The course was a little easier than I like, and the flag placements were pretty weird, but it was fun. If I had to make one complaint, it was that there wasn't much route choice, but it might be that I was just too scared to go off trail much, and that I discounted some valid off-trail routes. I was really worried at the start, because I've been feeling really run-down. Amazingly, I went pretty hard the whole time. I ran a lot more than I expected. I almost did Red, but I was scared of the stories of Stinging Nettle. I need to find some clothes that can stop stinging nettle. I hate that stuff. Best part of the day: I finally got some sprint points! w00t!
