Running (Easy run) 42:00 [1] 5.0 mi (8:24 / mi)

Easy shake-out run with some of the girls on the team. We ran around Northampton - legs feel mostly ok. I'm tired, but otherwise good. :)

Biking 1:00:00 [1] 15.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

Spun for an hour - just to flush out the legs a bit. They feel mostly ok.

Running (Bull Run Run) 10:40:00 [3] 50.4 mi (12:42 / mi)

Bull Run Run 50 Miler - had a rough day...completely fell apart in the heat (80-plus degrees). I ran well through mile 26 or so (just over 4 hours), but I stopped sweating around mile 22 or so...and after mile 26 or 28, I basically walked the rest of the way back. I am proud to have shown the determination and perseverance to finish, but I am incredibly frustrated to have gotten so beat by the heat. I guess I just need a few days to acclimate to heat...since I was doing things mostly right, and my body just shut-down. Oh well!

Easy hike from the start/finish area to the river...hung out for a while reading, then hiked back up. Right calf is bothering me a bit, but hopefully it will be ok...

Walked with Steph around Amherst for a bit...it was beautiful outside and I just wanted to do something. Glad to work off a few nerves. :)

Trail run at Sugarloaf w/ Jason - we moved a bit better this morning - getting in an extra time up Sugarloaf in our run. Felt good, except my right calf is a bit tight...hopefully a few days off will fix that!

Running (Mtn Run) 48:00 [1] 6.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Ran easy with Abby at Mt. Tom - up autoroad and back. Right calf is a bit tight, but ok. Great to see Abby, Ashley, and Dawn...feels like mtn. running season again!

Trail run w/ Brad - happened to pull in at the same time as him at the Notch - and he also wanted to run easy around Earl's Trails. Great to have company...legs feeling better today.

Weights 30:00 [3]

Lower body only lifting - had just enough time to work the legs before I had to get to dinner. But, that'll give me an extra day to recover before this weekend. Tuesday afternoon I'll hit the upper body.
