Bollington 3 Peaks hill race. 59th/333, +27% (+18% vets). Felt pretty tired from having run hard on Thursday and struggled with the required banter start due to gates etc. early in the race. Continued to feel pretty tired but gradually got my act together a bit on the contouring climb between the first and second hills, and ran OK on the flat sections. 3'45 behind JamBo and 2'25 behind Rhyno, 2 mins ahead of PeteMcC . Would have been close to Mark if I was fresh I think. Quite happy with result considering I was far from rested.

Wore road shoes due to the amount of road and track in the race and only got away with it as it was dry.

Rest day. Well, apart from running 200m flat out up a hill in Bollington to create a souvenir segment for JamBo's birthday, at about 2am.

TT was a hilly time trial on Corstorphine Hill, much of which was spent battling StuartM who was better than me at the uphill but worse at the downhill. Went awry when he took the wrong route. Was far from fresh. Had a good go at the FOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRREEEEEEE -8% segment down from CH, 1'50 was sadly 3" off getting a top 10 and 9" off top 3 and 21" off CR, but top trotter excluding some Jordan guy I've never heard of so it will have to do.

Martin's Intervals. Had been intending to do the full session but did too much at work, missed first one and joined in the second one just after it had started, with my rucksack. Then 3'37, 3'34, 3'36. S'ok. Hoping for progress from here soon-ish. Then via Cloisters to drink a real ale beginning with B due to HBT drinking challenge. I don't think that counted as training.
