JK Day 3, Long, Holmbush. M45L. 32nd, +35% to JamieL. Really tired from the get go and struggled round. I did know this was fairly likely when I decided not to taper last week but to get another week's training in before trying to freshen up and do some races in May. Splits clear that I was just slow throughout, most splits 25th-35th.

Overall, 24th +31.8%. Reasonably motivating despite poor day 2/3 performance.

JK Day 2, Ambersham Common, Middle Distance (first year of that). M45, 18th, +24.9% to JamesL.

Felt strong running at the start, 5th and +7.5% at no. 5. Always dangerous to be running well on minimal practice and veered far to the left on 6 and slow to relocate. 3'30 lost. 40" lost at 12 (felt more like a minute) looking at wrong group of trees, and 30" at 15 (went to wrong gully), lots of small scrappy errors too. Was tiring in the second half and running speed dropped off a bit.

Reasonable morale boost, top 10 should have been possible - but needed to be more practiced to do any better.

JK Sprint @ Brunel Uni. 7th on M45, +7.3% to JamesL. Good run - quite an easy course and mostly a running race; lost about 15 seconds at 1 zooming past the 1st control hidden in a doorway but then pretty clean. Quite motivating - I'm sure I can get 7.3% faster fairly quickly from here.

Martin's intervals. Deliberately only 3 as easing off for JK but was too tired really and did 3'41, 3'51, 3'51. Hoping for a bounce back by the JK but might be too tired this year - will have better rest after and hope to have some good form after that. Jack Daniels phase III-lite sort of complete sort of successfully.
