Day 3, Darnaway, middle distance. 3rd. 1'18 down. Enjoyed being able to get some good running in the fast forest sections, it feels like a while since I've ran hard. Lost about 2 mins on number 2, too far north, but sorted it out fairly calmly and ran reasonably confidently.

Early start and missed control 1 in a bracken filled valley. Fell over a rock. Thought it was going to be one of those days but figured it out for 3-3.5 mins lost and ran better after that. 5th again. 6'40 down. Knee OK again.

M40S. 5th. Good start - in the lead at 9 before getting tired on the heather at 10 and losing 3.5 mins at 13. Knee was just starting to hurt two controls from the end, delighted it held up. 5'22 down.
