in grand junction. dinner at Breckenridge brewing aleshouse. good food and beers. stoked on all the new beers to try!

crazy storm today. woke up to rain and it's going to snow up high today. decided to stay in grand junction and drive through the snow. already quite a bit of snow at eisenhower tunnel. no rush.

good sleep in st george. hitting the trails this morning and then mary's loop in fruita on the way to grand junction. we will cross the CO border today!

mellow cruise around the bear claw poppy trails in St g. good times with maggie and ruby. groin was a non issue. really hoping i turned the corner on this.

shut out of riding this afternoon due to gnarly rain storm rolling in. love the rain!

hike with maggie and ruby on the pioneer rim trail. good times.

JEM Trail goodness. i knew where i was as soon as I parked. the JEM trail is the last single track section from the 2012 Zion 100. I remeber pacing slater on that section like it was yesterday.... and then going back the next day to watch mighty mo power throught 50 miler. so many epic memories. i was probably at the lowest point of my life on that trip. just down about everything. that is the trip/experience that turned things around and got me on my current path... lead me to maggie, moving to colorado, and the incredible baby on the way. coming back now is kind of surreal. full circle.

super fun ride. ripping the JEM trail was killer! so much to explore but wanted to get back to maggie and the pup. this place is magic.

first run in about a month. got the bonescan results today. negative. good and bad news. good news is it's not another sfx, bad news no clue what it is/was. hasn't hurt in a couple of weeks other than some achiness. so i decided to i might as well run since it doesn't hurt. i thought i was resting a sfx.

easy 10 minutes @ 8:30 pace on the treadmill. zero pain or sensation in the hip/groin. we'll see how it feels for the rest of the day and tomorrow.

crazy night. slept 930-1230. Maggie woke me up with severe pain in her back and stomach. At hospital by 1am. I thought it may be go time. Baby perfectly fine, happy, and not going anywhere... yet. Maggie ended up having and passing a kidney stone. never seen her in that much pain. gnarly. slept 3-6 on recliner in hospital room. super deep sleep with crazy dreams. When I woke up maggie was feeling much better. I left at 630 to let Ruby out and get injection for bone scan later today. by the time i was done maggie was released. so stoked everything is ok. stressful night.

after some much needed rest and a late lunch with maggie got out the door for an easy spin. just soaking up the sunshine on the coast.
