good sleep but up early... for work.. yes on a sunday. working remotely but still could be a long one.... gonna be a ripping day out.

heading for a "long" run with maggie. she was just going to do my run with me and then finish her run on her own. ran a loop through the hood trails and wasn't sure of distance... a bit longer than I wanted but got through it without feeling too bad. progress.

at the last minute i decided to take a bottle of NUUN. glad i did. hot & humid. sweating buckets. welcome back run.

slept at 7.5 - 8,370ft - getting there and still sleeping well.

body feels good and ready for more.

ribs - i can still feel them the most getting in and out of bed. while running it doesn't "hurt" but can feel them some times.

clavicle - aches a bit here and there. doesn't bother me running at all. can feel when riding when I get out of the saddle... so i don't do that much.

road rash - gone.

recovery day... dropped my truck at the dealership for some work and then rolled back down to encinitas to meet up with Kurt. mellow coffee spin and the body is feeling good... ready to keep pushing.

ran way more than expected... and faster. warmed up the almost 2 miles to the track and the ruby wanted to run around the track to chase maggie and the other ladies. so stoked to have a dirt track that close. we would run, walk, and jog around the track chasing maggie.

felt good running kind of fast.

added another .25 after dropping the pup off at DDC.

no tent.

good sleep but had some trouble falling asleep. my collarbone gets uncomfortable at night... but manageable. post op appt today.

legs are feeling recent load, but it's a good burn!

felt good rolling out. kept the pace easy rolling down to TP ... very mellow... recovery effort. I climbed inside and outside TP and then headed home. pretty slow going on the climbs. between my lack of fitness and going from my 14lb race machine to my cx bike with all terrain tires has working hard.... good for me though. it's still fun...

I had my first post op appt and all is well. the doc was kinda blown with my range of motion and overall body mobility... he obviously had no idea of who he was dealing with and the recovery powers that have been taught and passed down to me from the OG DCer's.

fun run with Maggie after work & doc appt. so good to end the day jogging, talking, and sweating. simplicity. My body felt good just slow, fat, and outta shape. maggie dropped my on every climb. i am not going to force anything... just do what i do and the fitness will come.

cracked a Mother Earth Kismet IPA post run. delicious.

good sleep but having trouble getting comfortable with the clavicle. laying down just isn't that comfortable.

running portion of session with ruby. it was basically 50/50 walk/jog. she kind of shocked me and wanted to run more than let her. charged the ups and the downs.

my body feel surprisingly good.

i added another .3 after dropping ruby off at dog camp.

body feels good I'm getting back at it this week. basically feel like i'm starting from scratch. this should be fun.
6 AM

on it early and happy to be outside. getting up early was rough... gonna take a bit to get back in the swing of things.

loop through inland encinitas & carlsbad and then back on the coast. the cx bike with hybrid tires make me work more. good for me. by the time i got to the coast (60 min mark) i was kind falling apart. i am outta shape....
8 AM

Dog Jog 10:00 [3] 0.5 mi (20:00 / mi)

right after the ride ruby and headed over to the Y. we ran from the front door all the way to back field and threw the ball around. then ran home. felt good. gonna jog later!

boom! just decided to charge. Maggie and an ez jog the the sched so I joined her. "mellow" hood loop and i was suffering... pretty laughable.... and i was laughing the whole time.

clavicle and ribs didn't bother to much. so stoked. super motivated.
