Note

Analysis of wintertraining.

November:
36h20 - 22 real training days
running - orienteering : 17h30 - 186km
cycling - mtb - spinning: 14h

December:
58h20 - 28 real training days
running - orienteering : 26h00 - 263km
cycling - mtb - spinning: 32h

January:
38h00- 23 real training days
running - orienteering : 17h30 - 175km
cycling - mtb - spinning - XC - cross tr: 19h

Conclusions: January was similar to November - 0 days off at work - December I could train more because I had only 12 working days that month.
Happy that I didn't have any injuries or illness. I could do what I planned.
In february and march I should be able to do more, also hope to increase my number of hours running, but always have to be careful for injuries.

Now that I've moved to Borgerhout I will explore other Parks: Park Spoor Noord - Brilschanspark - Rivierenhof... Look forward to that, also look forward to 3 weeks Thailand 20th of feb till 14th of march.

Today there was a selection race for the Interland on 7th of march... I will not be able to participate in this interland but I wanted to do good in this race. First 2 would be selected, so this was my goal.

I was stressed - still a lot of work to do to arrange everything in my new home. But my first night I really slept like a baby ;-). So that's good.

I was late because my car had some problems... too bad. I choose to run with the salomons because I thought the snow was new and soft... that was a mistake. my thoughts were correct for the forest, but on the tracks it was rather slippery.

Started of really good, no mistakes and good flow, until control number 6. I punched but after 20 meter towards 7 I wasn't sure about the number, went back to check. Flow was gone. Control 10 - ran all the way to another control about 40m away from it. Than the feeling was good again until 18, lost 30" there, just 25m too much to the right and didn't see the control. Controls 25-27 I lost time again... not concentrated and traces were leading me in the wrong direction.
At the finish I wasn't really satisfied, 2'30" mistakes in total is too much. My legs felt really good though, very happy about that after last training on thursday.

I was a bit surprised that I became 2nd! Happy about that.
So now I'm selected for the interland, but I will not be able to go since I'm on a holiday-training camp in Thailand.

Legs were shit, hope to have a better feeling next few days because this was really bad.

general condition is really good though, don't have any trouble at all to keep going for 2h or more...

Last day of my best colleague Sven.
We go to présoiree to celebrate - party from 7pm till 12pm.
Friday and saturday I will move, so don't expect to be able to do any trainings either. Maybe saturdaymorning.
Sunday I go to run in Winnerheide.

Nice alternative session. Was afraid that some muscles would be sore afterwards, but the feeling is good.

Type of Anaerobic Alactic training because of all the short sprints of 3-4 seconds. The jumps in all directions are not bad either I think.

It was good fun.
