Carolina north forest. Wore a shirt with a collar on a run, for the first time -- probably ever. It's nylon, breathable, has pockets, and probably won't pick up burrs, so I'm toying with wearing it this weekend at the score-O. This event has traditionally been my reluctant annual introduction to the Ohio burr season, and it would be nice not to be covered with them after 30 minutes.

Trail running on the south side of Umstead with an O-map, just to practice running and looking at a map at the same time. The map encouraged me to get off trail for a bit, and the lack of a compass (and the difficulty seeing trail symbols on a 1:15 map) helped me miss an indistinct trail junction, and added about a mile to my run.

Uninspired run on the roads around my house, searching (mostly in vain) for a nice loop run, preferably on trails. Got some ideas for future runs, but this one ended up being mostly an out-and-back on paved rural road. Blah.
