Bike 3:02:00 [3] 38.5 mi (4:44 / mi) +586m 4:31 / mi

Hilly and a bit windy, biked from Prescott to Ellsworth by way of farm roads. Stopped to get a diet Mountain Dew and bag of peanuts, and was cautioned.... "Hope you're not riding THAT way".. Yes..... why? "Big storms coming" so I took the local highway back to beat the lighting and rain and pretty much succeeded.

Run 19:30 [3] 2.0 mi (9:45 / mi)
shoes: Asics2

One day trip to Austria, near border. Had a little bit of time to run before my first meeting today, but then talked on the phone before I went off for my run and.... oh crap... realized how late it was when I was a mile out. So, short run along some river in Tyrol near a town called Dirnbirn or something like that.

Back in Germany. Woke up early enough for a run, ran down by the river in Augsburg to their city forest. The river's edge side of the forest also had a huge kayak course, apparently constructed for the '72 Olympics and used in many World cup events since then. Kind of fun to see, so I ran along that and also took a dip into the woods.
Augsburg is another amazingly cute city (are they ALL this way?)
Flat run. Cool weather and felt good.

Note

Skipped my run this morning. Was in a very cute town of Regensburg and really wanted to run when we got in, but with my colleagues around, we ate and drank instead of going for a run.
Then I spent a good bit of the night listening to 3 AM partiers, wandering around my room doing nothing, listening to church bells and other city noises (wonderful but not sleep inducing) and then finally sleeping better again around run time (6 AM).

Run 1:10:00 [3] 5.8 mi (12:04 / mi)
shoes: Asics2

Little morning run before being picked up by my colleagues to drive to Regensburg. Jogged into the town of Furst and then back. I had a good map, but took a long time trying to read street signs and figuring out what I wanted to do so a little bit of standing around time.

Stayed in a little German forest hotel near Nuremberg, in the town of Furst. My German colleague picked it for me because it was adjacent to some very nice woods, which turned out to be quite perfect with long windy trails, runnable white woods with small blueberry plants, and even a map that I could use.
My achilles have been acting up again so I kept up a slow pace and quick cadence. It was raining pretty much the whole way but felt great. I would have stayed out later, but with dark German woods, some of the old fairy tales were coming to mind and I turned around
