Orienteering 18:40 [3] 2.6 km (7:11 / km)

Sprint into Spring event at Oxley College. I didn't really feel like going as my knee was a bit sore, l'd eaten too much and had finally settled down to doing some work in the morning (not very sensible on the weekend, but l have been procrastinating for some time and the work is due this week). Anyway, l did a quick dash around the Sally Pearson course, but was let down by my running speed. No major errors, just a couple of areas where l could have picked a straighter line.
I was interested to see Oxley College as l applied for a job there many years ago but was quickly rejected for being too unChristian after l said l was interested in comparative religions.

Street O summer series opener at Forest Hills. It was very warm, around 30 degrees at running time. I don't like running in the evening at the best of times as my knee hurts more then , and l really struggled tonight. It was followed with a scout sausage sizzle and presentations for the winter series.

Run around Benalla lake and gardens. It was pretty warm already at 8:30 am. At the half way mark l came across a manned drinks table (where l joked that they shouldn't have set one up just for me) set up in preparation for the DELWP summer firefighter fitness test.
