It was pretty warm today and l was having visitors, so walked in the the evening around Blackburn Lake area, admiring the bushlke gardens.

Street O training run at Glen Waverley. I got my new bike yesterday. It required a bit if adjustment to get it right, but hopefully is O K now. I was worried it was too big, but hopefully that is not the case. Trek Superfly 5 - bright orange.

I am trying to get into a habit of exercising earlier in the day as my legs seem heavier in the evening and my knee seems to swell a bit after a day sitting and then hurts running. Day 1 of shorter more frequent runs. It's going to be hard!
Of course this was helped today by the fact l don't have to work as l am getting my new bike. WOOHOO. I have also commenced negotiations regarding a 4 day week. So far the signs are positive.

Street O at Jacksons Court (Doncaster, not Blackburn North as advertised). I jogged half way but knee was really sore and weak on the up hills so l walked.
I finished the final draft version of the new State emergency response plan today so am feeling pleased with myself.

Geoff's scout adventure O event at Tally Ho. Great complex map but rogaine style controls (not always on mapped features) and 'original' control descriptions. I had a few problems finding several that weren't quite right. I might be overdoing it a bit - knee was quite sore jogging so l resorted to walking.

Monday Jan 4, 2016 #

Back to work today and went for a walk around Blackburn after work (and after a large dose of energy giving chocolate). However evenings are no good for me as l am too tired to even walk. I'll need to try and get into a morning routine - with the exception of street O days. New year's reso - shorter more frequent runs!
