Run 31:00 [3] 4.45 km (6:58 / km)

Run around Wattle Park and Gardiners Creek. Knee really not great.

Unfortunately after yesterday's course setting I only had 19 controls so had to go back to Camberwell to find another one. I took a guess before I went, only to find there were no light poles anywhere near where I had made the guess - so it was lucky I went back. The map is now finished but the scale is out. I will try and get the printer to expand the map until it turns into a 1:10.000. Failing that, I will whiteout the 1:10,000 and just leave the linear scale which is, of course, correct.

This followed another 3 hours of work work. My SOPs on control of major emergencies were finally completed (I hope) and were sent off for approval at a meeting scheduled for 7.00 am tomorrow!

Not really what I wanted to do this weekend, given the glorious weather.

Walk/jog 1:10:00 [3] 8.5 km (8:14 / km)

Course setting for this week's street event at Camberwell.

I couldn't really have picked a worse week for course setting as it is the week where all the arrangement for this year's bushfire season have to be finalised so the materials can be printed, ready for the pre-season briefings. The task has been made harder this year by the new legislation and the need to be sure all information about how everything works is actually correct. This meant I had to stay at work until 9.30 on Fri night and then work again today.

Course setting would have been OK but it took me 2 hours to get a map printed out (of either OCAD or CONDES) so I could actually set the course!
