Exercises and lots of gardening. I have stopped taking the antinflammaties and seem to be pain free - stiff, but pain free. The weather is absolutely gorgeous here at the moment.

Morning exercises before heading off to Benalla for a quiet weekend. There were 3 youth suicides in Benalla this week, an awful lot for a small town, and I passed one of the funerals on the way home.

I felt much better today, after a really big sleep. I had a pilates session at lunchtime, with some more exercises introduced. I really enjoyed it and can feel my knee getting stronger all the time. So far so good.

Exercise session this morning, followed by a headache all day and therefore feeling lousy. I am envious reading people's plans for the long weekend. I weaally weally wish l was going orienteering - but the physio has suggested it will be 6 weeks before l can do anything - so bush orienteering is someway off.

It was this time last year, at the beautiful Flinders, that l remember the first major knee swelling episode.

My first session of pilates in a one-on-one format. Although the exercises didn't appear too hard, they were remarkably difficult when the instructor had her hands on your muscles and could tell if you weren't tensing them correctly. So there was no cheating (and believe me, I did try).

Although very expensive, I am going to do several one-on-one sessions for a couple of weeks in an attempt to learn correct technique, before advancing to the group classes.

I was a bit quicker on the exercises today.
The day's excitement was provided by the lady over the road who told me her house was burgled yesterday while she was taking tbe bins out. The burglar must have climbed over the back fence and gone in the back door. I was actually looking out my front window at the time and saw nothing. Talk about quick!
But the thieves didn't get too far as they also stole some grog from the local IGA but were caught waiting for the getaway train.
