Run around the Benalla Lake. A bit faster than yesterday, but not much.

Run around Shepparton. It was a really cold day and l felt sluggish.

Walk from the city to Camberwell. It was a nice warm evening. My foot has been a little sore for some weeks, but l can't pinpoint exactly where.

Walk home from the city to Camberwell and then caught the train. I had a near miss when l saw some water pouring out of a tree......oh.....

Run 56:54 [3] 7.5 km (7:35 / km)

Street O at Lilydale Heights in a fairly ordinary industrial area. I jogged slowly most of the way but had trouble keeping up with some very fast PWs!! The long mid-week walks have done me good, so I'll try and keep them up. I then collected controls. It was a day of good turns, Prior to the event I mowed my lawn, the church lawn next door, a neighbour Dallas's lawn and then the lawn of the Chinese people over the road. All were very appreciative as none have a lawn mower.

Walk from the city to Camberwell again - this time along Bridge St. This was much better lit than the other way but it was missing the beautiful smells from the Vietnamese restaurants in Victoria St. It rained the whole way and I think the other passengers on the train at Camberwell thought a homeless lady had got on (hair a mess, clothes a mess, scruffy backpack).

Walk from the city to Camberwell and then caught the train the rest of the way home. I thought I was going to be mugged walking on the unlit section of path between Victoria St and Barkers Road, when a possum jumped out of the bushes. Peter suggested I add a balaclava to my all black walking outfit and become the mugger rather than the muggee.

I've been a bit depressed about my miserable result at the Joyce's Creek SS event. I was running well, including up the hills until 4, when I lost confidence about where I was and went off to relocate - even though I was on track. Then 2 people asked me where they were, and I found it hard to pinpoint on their 1:10,000 maps as I had a 1:15,000 - and then one disagreed with me when I showed them where I was!!!! I was a bit annoyed they asked when they thought they knew where they were.
I again lost confidence going into 7 when I found a pile of rocks that I couldn't find on the map (they were under the red line and I was right on track) and went off to relocate from something else. A nice day in the bush but my confidence was shot. Very tired at the end - possibly something to do with the 5 hours of driving to get there from Benalla and back to Melb..

Bike ride around Benalla. I wanted to go further but had so much to do at home. I don't understand how my parents possessions ( the ones left after the big clearout), which formerly fitted into one house, now don't fit into four (my sister and l have 2 each).

Run around Reef Hills on the minor trails. Ran continuously, including up all the hills and felt relaxed and comfortable the whole way. First time in ages.
