Run 53:57 [3] 7.5 km (7:12 / km)

Run around Wangaratta bike tracks. I was feeling pretty weary after a busy week. Guests left yesterday for the US and l can return to my bed for a good sleep.

Sunday Apr 24, 2016 #

Orienteering 1:35:00 [3] 7.07 km (13:26 / km)

State series at Balt Camp. Lots of bracken and lots of fallen timber. I couldn't really run and didn't want to trip over - so very slow.

Friday Apr 22, 2016 #

Run 38:46 [3] 5.52 km (7:01 / km)

Run around Blackburn. I've been a bit run down this week and am glad l haven't planned anything major for the weekend. Both houses are full - guests here and family of five at Benalla.

Wednesday Apr 20, 2016 #

Walk 30:00 [3] 3.0 km (10:00 / km)

Walk around Blackburn. Started running but foot was sore and l was generally tired.

Tuesday Apr 19, 2016 #

Walk 30:00 [3] 3.0 km (10:00 / km)

Walk around Blackburn.

Sunday Apr 17, 2016 #

MTBO 2:47:59 [3] 18.64 km (9:01 / km)

Me an' the orange walking frame had a major expedition in the Vic Long Champs at Stanley. Tough course. Leigh had thoughtfully built lots of lumpy bumpy (un-rideable) tracks in pines and then set controls on them . I didn't want another accident so walked a lot of it. Still managed to come back with blood - from my pedals which acted like a grater every time they hit my shins. Finished this time. That's a plus.

Saturday Apr 16, 2016 #

MTBO 1:00:00 [3] 8.4 km (7:09 / km)

Vic Champs at Indigo Winery Beechworth. Course was too long and hilly for a W50 middle distance and had fences you were not allowed to cross marked really faintly. l was a DNF again.

Friday Apr 15, 2016 #

9 AM

Run 38:55 [3] 5.6 km (6:57 / km)

Run around Blackburn lake and creeklands before heading north for MTBO. It's amazing what a good nights sleep and some sun does for your running.
BTW, l collected my bike from Carolyn's house in the Dandenongs last night. There's a reason she is about 100 times fitter than me.

Wednesday Apr 13, 2016 #

7 AM

Run 28:49 [3] 4.0 km (7:12 / km)

Short run around Blackburn. Various achy bits (PF and knees) but kept going. Better than nothing, especially after a night out.
The good news is that my bike is fixed and ready for the weekend. I'm glad my three bike technicians (Angus, Carolyn and Bill) are all accompanying me to this weekend's event:)

Monday Apr 11, 2016 #

6 AM

Run 37:29 [3] 5.0 km (7:30 / km)

Run in the dark/dawn around the streets of Blackburn. Trying to get going again. Knee is almost healed.

Sunday Apr 10, 2016 #

MTBO 1:07:00 [3] 13.0 km (5:09 / km)

MTBO event at Gembrook. Bike gears didn't work (and were attended to by two world champions without avail), l was tired, rode off the map and generally didn't feel like it. DNF. Major expedition to get home through the Dandenonongs' Sunday traffic. Bike has gone off with Carolyn and Bill for tuning, prior to next week.

Saturday Apr 9, 2016 #

Walk/jog 1:06:00 [3] 7.67 km (8:36 / km)

Street O at very hilly Woodridge. I went the scenic route and was late back, but l went to some areas l haven't been before. Knees and bruises haven't healed yet and were a bit tender.

Friday Apr 8, 2016 #

Walk 1:40:00 [3] 10.0 km (10:00 / km)

Walk around Blackburn with Jol and Susannah who arrived today.

Sunday Apr 3, 2016 #

Run 44:25 [3] 6.0 km (7:24 / km)

Run around Blackburn lake and environs, with a few short hills. I came back to Blackburn last night, appreciating the lack of traffic on the Hume Highway on a Saturday night.
I am getting my Blackburn house ready for houseguests from the US, who are staying for a month, starting later this week. Invis and Jools may know them (Jol, from uni canoeing days, and his wife). If so, they will understand why l have to vacate my bedroom (queen bed) and move into my spare room, which has a smaller bed. They are also vegan, with the exception of honey, so that will make for some interesting meals!

Saturday Apr 2, 2016 #

11 AM

Run 37:13 [3] 5.0 km (7:27 / km)

Trail run at Reef Hills. Nice to be in bush, although it seemed very silent. Bruising is now coming out on my leg and hand, which are both still quite tender.

Friday Apr 1, 2016 #

10 AM

Run 38:36 [3] 5.5 km (7:01 / km)

Run around Benalla lake and gardens. I would have preferred to swim but wounds still a bit weepy. Lovely autumn weather here in the NE, although a little smokey.
