Skiing Classic 1:42:15 [3] 12.78 km (8:00 / km) +112m 7:40 / km
Beautiful day skiing on the Madawaska ski club trail system in Calabogie. Nice grooming probably done yesterday but the pole area was soft in places. I only saw a handful of people. I was the first skier of the day on a couple of the loops but saw tracks of deer, fox, and turkeys.
The trail system is double tracks on the main trail, and single track on the loops, no skating. Old fashion trail skiing with dips, bumps, and step-direction changes in the turns. Lots of fun, more so than boring GP parkways.
Tired in the end, losing grip when it got warmer.
