Orienteering race (Long) 1:08:00 [5] **** 5.9 km (11:32 / km) +225m 9:41 / km
spiked:10/12c

West Point Long distance. Good race, but still passive in the running, need to push harder, especially when going uphill. Lost about 3min on control 9. was at the right spot, but on wrong side of the boulder. I saw the SE side ( as description said) and no control, but I didn't see the NE side where the control was, did a little loop in the neighbourhood before coming back and seeing one person punching...

Good course and map and beatiful terrain.

Orienteering race (Middle ) 44:42 [4] *** 3.5 km (12:46 / km) +130m 10:46 / km
spiked:13/15c

West Point Middle distance race. Mis-punched on control 4. went to far, found a control, and thought I checked the code, which I obviously did't. The next leg I was way out of direction, which now make sense because starting from wrong place. No other mistakes, but was passive in the running, didn't push enough. The forest was hard to run through with lots of dead fall and high blue berry bushes.

Orienteering race (Sprint) 19:44 [5] *** 2.1 km (9:24 / km) +70m 8:03 / km
spiked:12/14c

West Point sprint race. Now felt better in the running and was pushing harder. Had a good race till control 6, then a big mistake to 7 running too far before turning into the control, and another at control 8, where I was only a few meters from the control but couldn't figure out where the control was. Still an OK result.

Orienteering 1:06:04 [4]

Traffic light training course at Nepean Sportsplex map. Fun course set by Jeff Teutsch. Pouring rain begins just when we start running and keep raining the whole time. Also thunder and lightning! Dark in the forest. A headlight for the map reading would have helped.
