Aberlady and Gullane beaches are gorgeous. Timed my run well for the hottest and sunniest part of the day, not sure temperatures would have been much over a third of what can be expected in the Sahara thou!

Felt really good and included 3 sand dunes 'sprints', the downs were fun in the soft sand. Ended up being longer than expected thou due to the tides, Longniddry crossing is good (ankle deep) about 2 hours after low tide but looked pretty impassable at 3hrs after

Lucky I'm not trying to be good at this anymore! Can't even remember when I last read a map and I could tell, very confused trying to find routes to the first few and had to stop on the way to 5 as totally failed to have a plan. After an irritating error at 10 I then seemed to figure out what I was doing and really enjoyed the rest! Glad I persuaded myself to go despite the rain on way there.
