orienteering 26:28 [2] 2.4 km (11:02 / km) +33m 10:19 / km
12c

Course B
Becky & I decided to jog one of the sprints together as warm up. At a few controls we split and took different routes to compare. Fun & good exercise!
FR 3.64km

orienteering 19:23 [3] 2.6 km (7:27 / km) +31m 7:02 / km
14c

Course C
Definitely got tricked on the way to 3. Died a bit on the way up the hill to 6 & 7. Hesitant at 8 & 9. Checked the wrong wall at 12. Not sure left around the building to 14 was the best route.
FR 3.518km

orienteering 17:14 [3] 2.6 km (6:38 / km) +22m 6:22 / km
8c

Course A
No real mistakes just tired legs. Funny how I thought the fences before 3 were gonna be cliffs, like some kind of quarries =)
FR 3.161km

run 7:57 [1] 1.25 km (6:23 / km) +14m 6:02 / km

Cool down jog with Becky, up the hill to check out the view of Long Island sound.

pilates (& yoga) 45:00 [2]

Morning session with Mike.

bike 1:12:08 [2] 25.18 km (2:52 / km) +293m 2:42 / km

Figured I should stay off my foot today, so instead of a run I went biking with Mike. Beautiful day!

Note

As the tightness in my left lower back/hip slowly has been coming back I scheduled another appointment with Dr Guan, the acupuncturist. I also asked him to work on a spot under my left foot. He put the needles in and as I was laying there I could feel how it got really tense in those areas and pulsing, then he took the needles out and used something to stab holes in the skin before he sucked the bad blood out(!)
Okay, it sounds nuts (and the stabbing part is pretty painful) but it seems to be working. His wife who is a bit better in English explained that I'm fine, my muscles are healthy it's just that they're clogged and the nerves make it hurt, or something like that..?

trail run 16:47 [2] 2.74 km (6:07 / km) +39m 5:43 / km

Warm up with Becky & Alex.

trail run 45:20 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (22:20 @2) + (13:00 @4) 7.63 km (5:56 / km) +97m 5:35 / km

2 x 3min-2min-1min-30s (1min rest & ~4min rest in between sets)

That felt weird, wasn't working too hard but the body was on the verge of giving up. I blame it on lingonberry week. Completely ran out of energy on the second set 2minuter.

Still fun to be out there with such great company.

trail run 52:33 [2] 9.71 km (5:25 / km) +139m 5:03 / km

Slow slog around Maltby Lakes. Stomach cramps but they mostly disappeared after I stopped and stretched. The forest smells so good after it rained.

strength 1:00:00 [2]

trail run 22:17 [2] 3.5 km (6:22 / km) +38m 6:02 / km

Short jog in the rain with Mike. Little league baseball game going on and as we passed the field one of the onlookers said: "Now that's dedication!", we answered him: "So is that!"
