run warm up/down 15:00 [2]

orienteering 44:13 [3] *** 4.2 km (10:32 / km) +185m 8:38 / km

Some hesitation and extra turns, but nothing major except 13 took me a while to find. Favorite leg: 10 to 11, beautiful!

Oops, was talking to Josefin until about 20min before my sprint start. Ate and drank too much after the middle, didn't feel that good jogging to the start.

Went too much left down in the green for the first control, saw it but didn't think it was mine. Finally got it and Sergiy G who started a minute behind caught me. So, we saw each other for most of the course. I got tricked to run across the bridge leaving 6 and made a loop getting to 7. Overshoot 8.

Note

10mila weekend and I wish I was there. Managed to keep track of my team in between middle and sprint though, talked to my cousin Josefin who ran the 4th leg. She didn't run last year and said it's even more exciting after skipping a year or two, can't wait until I'm back. Our first leg runner Elin managed to move up to top 10 at the first radio after starting way back, but then she took her own route choice and lost the front pack. They finished 135th. Then called Anne-Louise right as they were gathering for the men's start.
Anyway, kind of feeling a bit down and homesick I didn't care so much about this weekends races. I went at a comfortable speed, took it easy through rocky (injury risky) areas and was just enjoying myself. Turns out this worked pretty well, not too far behind the racing girls. Little lazy with my navigation, lots of stops not being completely confident and I think I loose about 20-30s per leg with not planning ahead - I punch, check control code, unfold map and look at the next leg, make a route choice, take compass bearing etc >> area for improvement. But it's so much better than when I'm trying too hard, to think of everything at once - fail - and get disappointed and sad.

After dinner Neil said "forget about tomorrow and come to my place and watch 10mila all night" - tempting but we didn't go. Löftan's men finished 127th.

zumba 1:00:00 [3]

Will do less zumba while I don't think it's beneficial for running, but it does loosen up my body and make me happy. So when choosing one class a week - I choose Jose's.

at Maltby Lakes

15 x 1min with 30s rest on the trail going over towards Yale golf course. Windy with ups & downs. Tried to push but got tired. Ran by a guy measuring the trail using one of those wheels with a handle(?). A raccoon and lots of deer.

trail run 1:10:14 [2] 12.85 km (5:28 / km) +225m 5:02 / km

Wow. Spring is here. Everything's exploding. Warm and humid. Started with the rocky trails up top, was planning to take the orange trail but missed it and went further. Did 5 hillsprints just passed the lake on my way back. Wore glasses.

Really cold air along the water but then turned pretty hot and humid. When we stopped in Essex I was feeling a bit lightheaded and decided to go ahead of the others back.
