zumba 30:00 [3]

Yay! A pretty big group (9 people) took on the challenge to try early morning zumba. I had a lot of fun and while I saw smiles everywhere I assume they did too! :) I want to give you all cred for trying and for working so hard - zumba is fast and not that easy!
I'm happy with how it went, have to admit I was a bit nervous while it was my first time leading a class.

Things I need to work on:
- announce switch of moves (zumba is supposed to be non-verbal cueing but I can clap or do some sign)
- adjust level of difficulty for the group
- not announce if I mess up, they don't know anyway
- smoother transition when I turn around (to make it easier for them to see the footwork)

pilates ( + yoga) 25:00 [2]

Rhonda's yogalates: some sun salutations, warrior series, hundreds, planks. Very good.

RHINO
I was excited to run night-o, it's a special feeling :)

Left the house, started my watch and got to the trail thinking "feels like I missed something" and yes I did: to start punch..

Some hesitation going to 1, thought it was far down the hill. Got stuck in the laurel leaving 3, wanted to cut through to the trail, gave up and went back to the trail close to 3. Went, what I heard afterwards and realized out there wasn't the most optimal, trails right to fence corner and had to fight through the laurel to get to 4. Had trouble finding 7, 10 & 11. Went trails left to 12, would be interesting to compare split with someone who went right.. Some hesitation going down to 14. And after turning the finish flag, hanging from the basketball hoop, inside out a couple of times I went inside to ask where the finish punch was(!) Oops, it was on a stand out there.

While I don't get the chance to do night-o that often I did the second course too.

FR 2.523 km

Note

Very nice evening at Ratlum mountain! Delicious dinner and desserts! Many great stories and laughs! And the Grollman twins had everyone's attention, they're adorable.

And then there's Jim Henderson who had read on my log that I like lussekatter, looked it up at Wikipedia and found a Swedish bakery in MA who made them for him so he could bring some to the party! Awesome. They're good! With saffron and cardamom. Mums! (Swedish for yummy)

with Mike at Maltby lakes. First real cold run of the season.
A lady pulled up and rolled down her window as I was stretching by the car afterwards, she asked if I was ok, she had seen the lights.. :) funny!
