trail run warm up/down 20:00 [1]

orienteering 1:41:38 [3] *** 7.8 km (13:02 / km) +250m 11:14 / km
spiked:8/19c

Ran with my new thumb compass that mum brought, it worked pretty well, fun & fast. Other than that I have only tried running with a thumb compass once or twice before, looong time ago. Didn't like how the man who introduced it in our club said thumb compass and redline is the only thing to use from now on.. stubborn me just kept using the the old fashoin compass.
Had trouble focusing though. Messed up too many controls 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 17 in particular (~24 minutes total). Why? Lots of parallell mistakes entering the controls, chancing, hesitating. And had a belly pain that slowed me down some, second half of the course.
Anyway, very nice day to be out in these beautiful woods, great course! Felt good with "fika" in the bus afterwords = )

Note

First time I drove to Boston by myself and it was SNOWING! Got there safe, checked in at the hotel and had plenty of time at the airport before mum & Solveig arrived.
