Team 179
Physically happy. Raced strongly and fought against the other guys I was running with. I wasn't willing to let any of them get away so when I was 3rd in the group and the front guy made a break, I went around 2nd and closed the gap. Much better approach and really happy about that. My body was able to respond to the small changes in pace and didn't just completely die if I went into the red for a few seconds like it has done in the past. Good signs.
On the other side lost about 8 minutes with mistakes. The two big ones were due to not dealing with the situtation I found myself in. No. 1 I got a fly in my eye. Needed to stop and deal with that rather than trying to run and fix it while not being really able to read the map. ~2 mins. No. 24 I got stressed about the finish and the guy who had passed me with my little miss on 23. Worried about trying to close a gap I couldn't see and missed seeing the first road (even though I used it to relocate on 23...). When I missed it I took forever to work out where I was and threw away like 4 minutes. Not happy about that.
A few other small misses in circles that I'm not too worried about, though would be nice to cut out. 14/25 is a bad spiked fraction. On reflection the way to do that is to actually do race analysis after I run. Haven't done much this season and it's the only way to learn really I think.
