Orienteering race 1:03:53 [4] *** 6.0 km (10:39 / km) +170m 9:20 / km
spiked:12/15c shoes: VJs in France

Shamrock day 1. Hot, tired & thirsty by the time I reached the start. Persevered, some nice contouring long legs & some good downhills. Fell apart at no. 8, not helped by Shea doing something similar (and maybe a change in terrain). Got things together after about 4 mins. Pretty good otherwise but not really enjoying it & not comfortable on the map (not the map's fault).

Scarr hillrun. Went fairly hard but had no energy reserve at all, even on the downhill. 6 mins slower than best!

Putting out last few controls in Hillwood, on the tracks.

Orienteering race 56:00 [4] *** 6.7 km (8:21 / km)
ahr:155 max:169 spiked:23/26c shoes: VJs in France

A bit tired, went for direct routes if at all reasonable. Got in a good race with Don & Fabian, interesting in terms of accuracy & micro-route choice!

Terrain Run 2:00:00 [3] ** 10.7 km (11:13 / km) +470m 9:12 / km
ahr:136 max:156 spiked:8/9c shoes: Walshes

Long slowish run on Brockagh, put out tags for Conor on his first 3 controls, ran bits of M21E course I hadn't seen, no problems at that speed. Went back & tried different route for 11-12, 1 min faster so probably the same without the mistake. Good run, a bit tired but kept going fine, nice place for just running.
