Feck. Went off hard to catch the ~90 secs on Shane. First 3 were good, despite 2 being in the wrong place.
Had an absolute disaster on 4. A quick glance at the map and I was just saw two tracks and I just had to take the left one at the junction. I saw some one coming out from the right track so I just bombed down the left one. If you look at the map closer, the left track comes off the main track from the right and then goes down and under, so I ended up going mile down the wrong track. I could argue that the map was a bit unclear there, but I really should have noticed that the track I was on didn't go downhill and wasn't beside the river. I was just completely convinced I'd taken the left where I needed to. Terrible recovery from it as well I ended up being 6 mins on a 1 min leg...
Scrappy for the rest of it, but it was a scrappy forest. Saw that Conall had passed me when I saw him at 8 and he had me worried for a bit. He had a longer gaffle at the end so 2nd in the end.
Bit of a bitter end to a good weekend but I can't complain too much.
