Low 40s, NW 10 made it feel a little chillier. Up to Montague Center and around and about a bit. Legs weren't super spry, but nice to be out.

At Walter's. This was actually fun. Helps to have things set up with more or less the correct resistance. A decent workout without any real suffering.

Was going to go out mid-afternoon, but it was snowing hard enough to defeat my intentions (though not apparently snowing hard enough to actually accumulate on pavement). But then it stopped snowing, and there was still plenty of daylight, so off I went. Started snowing again pretty soon thereafter, but at that point it didn't matter, I was out the door.

35F, SW 5-10. Actually the snow made it nice, gave the sense of really being out in the elements, when in fact it was pretty benign. But the time went quickly, and what cars there were gave me more space than ever, figuring I guess that that this biker must be quite nuts.

Perhaps they are right....

--------------

New chain. Got 1,825 miles on the first one, 1,920 on the second. Also got the brakes fixed. I think the rear brake was OK, but the front one had some air in the line and was only a little bit better than worthless. Working fine now.

At Walter's, reasonably tolerable.

ahr:127 max:148 weight:138lbs

Low 50s, sunny, WSW 5-10. Lovely late afternoon. And certainly an improvement over the nearly 3 hours in the dentist's chair a little bit earlier. (And hopefully that tooth has a few more years in it.)

ahr:124 max:156 weight:139lbs

Really nice out, upper 40s, light breeze from the south. Was thinking when I got up that I should go for a longer ride today, but it never happened. This was good enough.

ahr:129 max:150

Low 40s and windy, NNW 10-15, felt cold, took some discipline to get out the door. After that it was fine.

Got back a little earlier from a visit at Charlie and Rhonda's. Zack was also there, a quick trip home from his new base in California. Really nice to see him doing well, seems to have a good job, making good plans, and generally pretty happy with his life. As I said, real nice to see.
