trail running 10 [2] 1.0 mi (10 / mi)

Warm-up

orienteering 53:03 [4] 6.3 km (8:25 / km)

NEOC meet at Wolf's Den in NE Connecticut. A little lazy on the first half, good effort on the second half. No mistakes of any significance.

Thursday Apr 26, 2001 #

trail running 2:31:10 [3] 12.0 mi (12:36 / mi)

Seven Sisters course again, more aggressive on the downhills. A good effort helped by a perfect day (race pace is probably 2:20-2:25, assuming good weather). Race is Sunday May 6, may try one more outing before then.

Wednesday Apr 25, 2001 #

road running 37:38 [2] 4.5 mi (8:22 / mi)

Flat and easy

Tuesday Apr 24, 2001 #

track 25:03 [2] 3.0 mi (8:21 / mi)

Warm-up/down.

track 18:16 [4] 2.5 mi (7:18 / mi)

4x400@87, 2x200@41 with an equal amount of very slow recovery. No energy or willpower, so cut the workout short.

Monday Apr 23, 2001 #

trail running 1:22:55 [3] 6.5 mi (12:45 / mi)

Seven Sisters course to the third sister (a little past half way) and back (2800' climb). Felt dead on the first few hills, then progressively better. With Phil Bricker (only reason I went was he called up... had been thinking I should do something, but was probably going to pass).

Sunday Apr 22, 2001 #

road running 5:00 [1] 0.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Warm-up

orienteering 1:07:59 [4] 9.1 km (7:28 / km)

Day 2, hot. Very tired, but didn't fade as bad as I feared, even though I was once again tripping/falling a lot. Just haven't done enough woods running to get used to picking my feet up enough.
By the way, a very fine O' meet.
