Roads north of Greenfield. Left hamstring (the good one) started to act up midway, and got steadily worse. Walked/hobbled back the last mile and a half. Very sore and tight.
Route up to the tower was packed down pretty good, so I felt compelled to do a short loop in the deep stuff. Beautiful day, upper 40s, almost too warm....
Had to stop 3 times on the 1/2 mile section up to the tower ... going anaerobic at about a 12-minute/mile pace. Of course the snow was about knee deep.
Snow-packed and somewhat slippery roads in Greenfield. Not much traffic as everyone was still shoveling out from yesterday's 20" of white stuff, and the 20 degrre temperature felt quite balmy!
Fun run with Maddy and Bob from Sue Heron's. Long climb up Sand Hill and West Pelham roads, back down Pratt Corner. Icy and snow packed, but surprisingly good traction. A steady hard effort, felt like race pace these days.
Oh yeah, 0 degrees and breezy, a bit of frostbite on the nose at the end.
