13-hills loop on Greenfield Ridge. Almost no ice left. Steady wind out of the west, but the route is mostly on the lee side of the ridge, so quite pleasant.
Listening to This American Life from a week or two ago, piece about how Alabama is dealing with immigration. I can't say I'm in a rush to go to Alabama again, or Arizona. Like everyone else, I'm here thanks to immigration, in my case just one generation back, but somehow it has become this terrible thing. I've imagined that seemingly more peaceful places like Canada or New Zealand or Australia (sticking for now with countries speaking some form of English) don't have such demagogary around the issue, but maybe I'm just unaware.
