Note

Time for the weekly Lost and Found report.

Starting weight: 144 (mid-December)
Jan. 1: 142
Jan. 8: 139
Jan. 15: 137
Jan. 22: 136
Today: 136.5

Mood: Mood is just fine. Ate a little more than I planned to this week -- there is a large variety tin of chocolate cookies at work and it seems impossible to avoid the occasional visit. But I've been consistent with the exercise, and still no eating after dinner. 135 a month from now would be nice, on the way to 133 this spring. But it will take some saying No.

And, I think it's time to start a little thinking about an O' schedule for 2011. That can give some extra incentive. If I'm going to go to the JK, I need to start making plans.

A little warm-up.

Ended up running the race with clown pants, one short-sleeve and one long-sleeve shirt, gloves, no hat.

10K at Forest Park in Springfield. Beautiful day for late January, low 30s and minimal wind, but the running was challenging -- maybe half on bare or mostly bare pavement, most of the rest on snowpack with the traction was pretty loose, and a few hundred yards on very choppy snow. So hard to know what to make of my time, but I think it was genrally OK. Especially as the legs didn't feel particularly spry.

Saw Goerge and Lyn there, not sure what they ran, also Clint, 43+, quite excellent, though I must add that he had these nice-looking spikes on. Don't know if that made much of a difference. If they gave an award for missing your predicted time by the most (they give one for coming closest), then Cling sure would have won it, as he predicted 49. He appears not to know his own strength.
