Kayak 3:00:00 [3]

To harbour bridge and back with Mark. Turned around and looked at Waka Ama races on way down, then sheltered around the corner under harbour bridge for a snack and back.
Battled a bit heading back towards Kauri point with tired shoulders.
??Combination of trek with pack on Thursday and repititions in kayak previous night.

Along Bethells coastal track with Mark Annie and Sonja.
Worked hard to get going for first half hour or so with a bit of extra weight in pack. 6 liters of water for weight

8 x 1km with Ian and the gang.
Arrived late so missed first two. Paddled along ok, bit sore in the leg, tiring through the 6th and 7th reps.

Trekking 6:21:30 [3] 23.98 km (15:55 / km)
ahr:115 max:156 shoes: Adidas Kanadia II 1

Walk along the Hakarimatas from the Huntly end to the Ngaruwahia end and back. Went steadily till it got dark and realised we only had one light so a bit slower over the rough stuff on the way back. Still only 2 minutes slower on the return trip after putting an effort in to make the most of the fading light.
Felt good, bit of chaff from steep uphills, cold feel calf strain very occasionally.

Kayak 2:00:00 [3]

Paddle to Greenhithe bridge and back at dead low tide. Felt sluggish most of the way, most probably due to shallow water.

Experimented with foam on seat to lift me up a bit. Paddled like that down to first yellow pole, then after meeting Sonja just past marina on way back, put it back in at first yellow pole and paddled home like that. Definitely notice a difference to stroke, but stretching to reach pedals.

Cycling (mouintain bike) 1:24:00 [3]

Normal loop through Riverhead after work. Stopped a couple of times to adjust bike. Took half an hour to warm into it but after that felt ok. Light pack.

Kayak 2:30:00 [3]
shoes: UFO

Paddle bottom section of Waioeka with Mark, Sonja and Erin.
(Gravel pit to get out)

Then top half to gravel pit with Mark, Sonja, Isak and Alan.
First time on river in UFO.
Felt ok but one swim on last corner when Isak bullied me into an eddy!
