Cycling 1:09:34 [3] 7.24 mi (9:37 / mi) +210m 8:49 / mi
shoes: Scott Aspect 45

Dick Hudsons to Cow & Calf, and back.

Climb 95m
Descent 115m

Really nice ride out with Matt. Much faster to C&C this week (32mins) which was very pleasing in respect of gaining confidence on the bike. Legs tired significantly before lungs which just highlights need to be out there.

Started about 6, and very dark by the time we got back. Only reason we could ride back was Matt's light which served for both of us. Am currently trying to justify spending £260 on a set of Ayeups.

Hockey 2:20:00 [1]

Hockey for 7s v Harrogate. Lost 3-2, but let in 2 goals I should have stopped. Although generally very little to do for long persiods of the game. Very windy thoughout game.

Hockey for 4s v Sheffield Hallam. Won 2-0. Pleasing result but clean sheet hides lack of action. Much better concentration throughout this game.

Hockey 1:20:00 [1]

Very poor session.
Drills weren't intensive enough and too much standing round getting cold. Technique was sloppy and whole session needed to be tighter and more focussed.

Home-Sutton-Green Sykes Lane-Tarn-Home
All on road.

Was only supposed to be a little run out to keep blood pumping and to overcome sundays bruising. Long hill from Sutton to Tarn Lane nearly killed me and I had to resort to pushing the damn thing for parts of it.

I have learnt that:
1 - Hills hurt and, despite lungs being fine, legs need work.
2 - The light I have is woefully unacceptable for trying to ride at night.

Solution:
1 - Ride hills!
2 - Buy lights!
