Hot Morning Loop
7:11 AM. Bridgewater. Burned 813 calories.

We started out at 0700 since it is going to be a scorcher here today. Simon, John, Fern and Bridget were the only to show which is fair enough. We decided to do a little loop and not a mega run. I was pretty slow for the first half but i managed to run all the way from the end of the golf course, up the hill and back. Thankfully Simon wasn't feeling the greatest, so i was able to chat to him for the majority of the run! I managed to insult Bridget again too.

Felixstow SS
6:30 PM. Felixstow. Burned 502 calories.
Course: Medium 4.4 km
Feeling sore and tired form a tough week in the field (i've gotta get used to these tough weeks) I decided that a easy one with Fern would be a good idea. Fern and I did the Medium course together and I just ran and Fern did all the hard work. Well actually all the hard work seemed to be me trying to run. Even the smallest hills were a struggle. I kept with Fern reasonably well, though there were a couple of time I thought she had forgotten i was running with her. Wish it wasn't going to be so bloody hot this weekend.

Note

Filed Work
Minlaton.

Another bloody tough and long day at work. Arrived at the office at 0815 and had 3 jobs to do near Minlaton on Yorke Peninsular. The hardest job was on a farm jost south of the town which had about 50 Tension Wire Fences that needed opening and closing - by me. These were some of the most tense gates i had come across. By the end of the day my shoulders were so sore i had to get Brenton to assist with the tougher ones. Oh the end of the day in the field was at 2030 (that was just before sunset, then we had to drive home. The last observation we had to make came just after the battery went flat in the GPS and the spares were back at the base station (about 10 gates away) so we had to rig up some bits to hook the GPS to the car. It was a little bush mechanic. We were home by 2330.
Brenton and all that power for one shot.

Olave Hill and Long Gully
9:14 AM. Eden Hills. Burned 1449 calories.

With Fern not feeling too well, we opted to sleep in instead of going to the Marion Coastal Park SARRC run. We finally awoke and were both feeling good enough to go for a nice long run. I definatley am better at climbing Olave Hill than i used to be, but was really struggling to not walk on the little up hills (and the big ones). It was quite pleasant through Belair and i really enjoyed the run. The watermelon we had at the end was FANTASTIC. So is the coffee i'm drinking right now. mmmmmmmm

Sprint Warmup
6:33 PM. Mawson Lakes. Burned 176 calories.

Warming up with the crew, Not really feeling the love with training at the moment, I think this is my slupmy time that i often get after training for a while. I'll get over it and i'll get even faster than Juffy.

Street Orienteering race 23:15 **** 3.82 km (6:05 / km) +2m 6:04 / km

Tuesday Sprint Series
7:03 PM. Mawson Lakes. Burned 353 calories.
Course: B 3.0 km 0 m
I started behind Steve and never saw him, I've gotta admit i wasn't pushing as much as i could've been. I was a little worried about the FernWerm sick in the car. I was last to finish i'm pretty sure and could've done a lot better. Oh well, you live and you learn, i just want to get through this slump, it is taking some motivation to not give up training again.

STEEEEEEEEEP LOOP
6:51 PM. Glenalta. Burned 600 calories.

Ran with Troy up and down a lot of hills in Belair towards Gloucester Ave then towards BNP and back down towards Troy's. I was pretty exhausted after a full day in the field and the 12km yesterday. Left over Pizza for dinner with a salad that Fern made especially for me.
