Orienteering race 1:02:54 intensity: (20:00 @2) + (22:54 @3) + (20:00 @4) **** 5.5 km (11:26 / km) +220m 9:32 / km

Day 1 green X. Steady run- jog might be better description due to incipient paranoia of losing contact with map - consequently no major loses - overall B+ with poorly executed long leg to 3 (2 mins), a few other hesitancies (so maybe 4-5 mins total). Anyhow top 3.

Walking warm up/down 35:00 [1] 1.8 km (19:27 / km) +190m 12:44 / km

Up to start and then jogging a bit

Walking 21:00 [1] 2.0 km (10:30 / km)

After yesterday- a bright new day-0 right!
A little blogarsis-anger/denial/acceptance stuff- must have wasted 4 hours yesterday with police report, bank card notifications, SSN/FTC, fraud alert, replacement DL etc etc- the list went on and on as I carried my life in my back pocket. Fortunately a lot of stuff could be covered online- even owe my secretary the train fare home :-)
Turns out the bolt-cutting scum bag who did this tried to access my account with 18 mins of me hitting the gym! No damage as yet- will monitor daily.
Will change procedures forthwith.
11 AM

Note

The day improves- wallet found at Kendall Sq Marriott- cash gone but nothing else- so hopefully no ID theft intent.
12 PM

Jogging warm up/down (easy) 25:00 [2] 4.0 km (6:15 / km)

Run to track a few laps, 8x100m strides (around 19s), run back and done

32kg kettle bell?

Note

Work day off - so bought a TV :-). Retired the old Sony CRT (talk about decade plus reliability) in favor of LED widescreen- cajoled by girls into this as I'm not a big TV watcher, however Wii playing experience apparently dictated an upgrade.

Orienteering race 56:38 intensity: (15:00 @2) + (20:00 @3) + (21:38 @4) **** 6.45 km (8:47 / km) +295m 7:09 / km
spiked:10/12c

Quite a pleasant outing to Wrentham - dropped off and picked up by Roz who had an errand to run in Providence. Never run there before- expected Hale type conditions so "ran down" on green today - start of taper for next weekend :-). Nominal was 4.9k, Garmin read 6.45, accounting for extra length taking trail route options rather than battle the briers- although parts were surprisingly runnable. Steady run with no significant errors - some minor hesitations in control circle (esp 9 which was funky) trying to decipher map (sometimes rock walls and cliffs were confusing)- good map contact and anticipating, relocating well when getting off line and route choices generally OK- speed under control - so B+ today. Will post QR.
