Note

Feeling much better this morning than for all of yesterday. HR settled, though late last night I think I was thinking too much.
9 AM

gym class (PF Sculpt) 50:00 [3]
shoes: white puma

Crazy lady class based in, around and on bike. I now know why she is crazy - she does 5 classes in a row with just a 1 hr break in Friday mornings. Maybe she was just the crazy one to take it on.

gym class (Body Pump) 1:00:00 [4]
shoes: white puma

Sweaty Betty day today - noted by lots of us.
No sign of calf tenderness after yesterday or today - but still not confident.

gym class (PF Challenge) 45:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: white puma

Awesome class - still was wary of calf so was careful on any sudden movement for it, especially backward steeping. Last segment of session i actually went for a run to see what it felt like. Much more up on toes than Monday, but still will be a light on effort this afternoon.

Street Series (Brickworks - Warm up 1) 46:07 [4] 5.1 km (9:03 / km)
shoes: black+blue

No problems after gym this morning, iced and rested calf in the afternoon and had entered the 'run" section giving me the option of jogging if I felt the urge. Started off getting the hard rough uphill section over first. I'm slow anyway so better to get it over with. beaut conditions, good turn out and a few very minor teething issues with the technology - not for me surprisingly. Added in a couple of extra controls early on, ditched a 30 pointer on way back in. Not really sure of time so was a little disappointed to be 46:07 - the 45 I could have lived with, but :07 over was annoying. Great to be back.

Tentative on calf section but escaped unscathed.

Strength (Tash's Tetras) 30:00 [3]
(injured)

Really slow day; poor sleep again but did enjoy just wafting between tasks on the list. Realised about 4pm I needed to put in an appearance on AP at the same time as I realised I'd only eaten 3 meals in past 32 hours.

walking (MaprunF - Carrington) 49:06 [3]
(injured) shoes: adidas purple

Practice run to see how I'm going to organise myself for Summer Series now we are going live with MaprunF. Picked this time as it will be event time and also Knights were (not) playing in preliminary finals. Will def need to still take pen to mark off where I've been. Some maps are easy, some not. Calf tight all day but not noticeable... so deliberately going over time I decided to have a trot. Felt like I had a flat tyre - had to run flat footed for all of about 25m. Looking like walking category for a while.
Strong sense of excitement - Summer Series is almost here!
