Really not optimal - took longer to drive to parkrun and had to stop off at library so lost a bit of time. Sooo many people there too.

Bit disappointed with this but I think lack of familiarity with course was a factor. A bit hot in places and fairly exposed with sun in face. also virtually a gravel course.

Well last night was a bit of excitement. Lightning strike less than 50m away caused a bit of damage to tree, water pipe and fizzed our modem and it was bloody loud and frightening.

Fast as could manage - still a bit bleary eyed after last night

Had a bit of an incentive as I was Timer at Beaches which starts at 9:30. so pushed as hard as could. walked straight from finish to scanning to car and then rockman and I travelled to NYD parkrun at The Beaches.
S-1 7:31 Not as bad as i had expected with not nearly as many people.
1-2 7:16 got into a bit of a rhythm and was enjoying picking off slower moving walkers.

3-4 8:00 didn't feel too bad but time a shocker. Picked off Bernadette here but she zoomed past later.

Fairly happy with time - certainly on the improve at last. I think the Gym5 is the key.

A lot of hot and tired people doing their thing on a beautiful Newcastle NYD.
Great to be out with rockman.
Logged only because of the traipsing in sand which was tough going.

Thoughts were: #1 go to the 8:30 class which is Shape and Tone because of the heat. #2 go at 9 and do a Gym5. #3 go to Cross Trainer anyway 'cos Cory does a great class and i couldn't miss Sally 2018.
Went a little early expecting holiday crowds plus it was a WLeage Jets home game deferred from yesterday because of the heat. Got into room and it was full. Class was a cracker and at 9:50 we were already dead beat.Mostly shoulders and quads - tomorrow is really gong to hurt at parkrun.
Cory has misplaced Sally so she apologised and promised it for 2019.
But I ended 2018 the way I want to start 2019 - toughing it out under what will be difficult circumstances.
Rehydration for the rest of the day!
