Park Run (Blackbutt) 53:12 [2] 5.0 km (10:38 / km)
shoes: grey/white

As I'm still only walking decided to have pleasant surroundings so opted for Blackbutt. On arrival everyone was dousing themselves in aerogard complaining about the ferocity and population of mossies. That was not surprising but I'd hoped that the winds of the week may have moved them on - and so it was to be. Yukky aerogard for my walk.
No information about the course was given at the briefing so knew I had to keep up.
S-T - 28:59 - this was a bit concerning as while this is the whole uphill section the time was longer than i'd hoped. But I'd also been confused that there were no returning runners to give me an idea of timing - the course has many variations depending on work within the Reserve.
T-F 24:13 (53:12) Knees started to feel a little ginger on the way down from the ridge - something I never feel when I'm running this section. Managed to overtake the 2 GPs walking in front of me plus the family whose little boy was totally freaked out by 1 mossie. He's got something to learn!

Nice morning - home now for brekkie - and some sculpting.

Note
(sick) (rest day)

Lots going on but I could have squeezed something in if I'd tried really hard. Decided to go easy.

Note

Another 3.5 hr in garden Making "hay" while weather is conducive to hard yakka.
9 AM

gym class (Body Pump) 1:05:00 [3]
(sick) shoes: white puma

Still on the recovery side - meaning needing to push harder - enjoyable in that respect. Stupidly complimented myself after about 20 mins that I hadn't been considering my next project - well in doing so mind drifted off to that. Silly girl!
Chest still a bit of a challenge and triceps hard but not impossible.

Street Series (SSS 2- Redhead) 42:17 [3] 4.2 km (10:04 / km)
shoes: grey/white

Walking still. Felt very flat all day after only 5 hours sleep. My cold has changed direction and also the (weather) change came through about 3am so that bookended my sleep. Got up, read for a while then back to bed around 5. It's chemo clinic day - so sitting most of the day. Outside at 3:30 to cold grey windy afternoon. So easily could have stayed at home. But Killens were wetting and I like their style so off to Redhead I went. In planning time I restricted myself to as flat a course as i could manage but still to make it interesting. Remembered the 3 things I needed - watch, pen, P card - forgot to change shoes (again) and top. Went for long sleeves and glad I did, though would have been much colder on the coastal route. Clues good but deceptively scattered - some nice strings and some darned pesky 3 pointers. Back with about 1:40 to spare - much better planning this week and surprised at points - 19 - and distance. Felt much better for going and am enjoying the walking challenge. I just don't feel quite ready yet!

Note

More than 6 hours gardening today. If the gym doesn't render me sore tomorrow, this just might. Broke the mower :-(((
9 AM

gym class (Body Pump) 1:03:00 [3]
shoes: white puma

Still a little off colour but not enough to stop a return to gym. Maybe I should have told my brain to snap out of it too as i sure wasn't "there" mentally - got a plan hatching and couldn't stop thinking about it.
Pleased that I could manage chest track despite almost a month of no Pump classes but my triceps were shaking in their feature track. Tomorrow should be very interesting!
